dAnd they worshipped him, and returned to Jerusalem with egreat joy:

καὶ αὐτοὶ προσκυνήσαντες αὐτόν, ὑπέστρεψαν εἰς Ἱερουσαλὴμ μετὰ χαρᾶς μεγάλης·
Textual key: Some versions omit ‘they worshiped him’ from this verse for the same reasons as in the case of the omissions in 24.40; however, some critical editions of the Greek New Testament include it. Without it the risen Lord is not receiving worship from His people.
