Deuteronomy 31:9

¶And Moses wrote mthis law, and delivered it nunto the priests the sons of Levi, which obare the ark of the covenant of the LORD, and unto all the elders of Israel.

Joshua 3:14-17   14. ¶And it came to pass, when the people removed from their tents, to pass over Jordan, and the priests bearing the ark of the covenant before the people; 15. Joshua 6:12 ¶And Joshua rose early in the morning, and the priests took up the ark of the LORD.
