rebuke not privately, by a ministerial correption, but by a public ecclesiastical correption before the whole church.
that the salve may answer the sore, and the plaster be as broad as the wound; and that others may be afraid to do the like. This end of the punishment agreeth with that mentioned Deu 13:11.
