1 John 3:1

aBEHOLD, what *manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, bthat we should be called the sons of God: therefore cthe world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.

Ἴδετε ποταπὴν ἀγάπην δέδωκεν ἡμῖν ὁ πατήρ, ἵνα τέκνα Θεοῦ κληθῶμεν. διὰ τοῦτο ὁ κόσμος οὐ γινώσκει ἡμᾶς, ὅτι οὐκ ἔγνω αὐτόν.
